What You Will Do:
As an OT Communications Engineer you will play an essential role within our Information Technology reporting to Sr. Manager IT Infrastructure and Applications. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Analyze communication systems and provide progressive solutions to meet ENSTARs on network communication needs.
Install maintain and operate both microwave and mobile based (VHF) radio equipment.
Lead and coordinate small and large projects including evaluation design estimates and delivery.
Support Operational and Information technology (OT/IT) needs.
Design and deploy APN devices.
Maintain ENSTARs FCC licensing and compliance with applicable regulations.
Work closely with the Cybersecurity team to increase security on the IT/OT networks.
Perform related duties as assigned.
What You Will Bring:
Required Qualifications
Fouryear degree in Engineering or related field required.
Minimum of four years progressively responsible work experience.
Proficiency with Microwave communication network systems.
Proficiency in RF PointMulti point systems.
Proficiency in Land Mobile Radio systems (LMR).
Knowledge of firewalls VPNs TCP/IP networking ethernet and serial networking.
Must possess a valid Alaska Drivers License and be qualified to operate a vehicle under the conditions of the ENSTARs Driving Policy.
Ability to pass a background past employment credit drug and driving record screening.
Preferred skills and qualifications:
Excellent analytical project management and organizational skills with the ability to evaluate data. Demonstrated knowledge of Microwave communication systems.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to effectively work with contractors consultants governmental agencies and other departments/personnel to accomplish ENSTARs objectives.
Ability to manage and support multiple projects.
Good attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to make independent decisions based on available information.
Selfmotivated with a strong work ethic and is open to take on a variety of operational challenges.
