Concrete Finisher

Summary:

A Concrete Finisher is an advancedlevel position responsible for performing a variety of tasks including placing finishing protecting and repairing concrete. Concrete Finishers supervise helpers and are considered experts in all phases of concrete finishing. Those who demonstrate exceptional skill and leadership may be considered for promotion to Foreman.

General Duties:

• Perform cleanup duties and preparation tasks on construction sites.

• Place and vibrate concrete to ensure proper compaction and finish.

• Chip concrete for the purpose of rubbing and patching.

• Complete any other duties as assigned by the Project Superintendent Field Engineer or Foreman.

Position Requirements:

Qualifications:

• Strong interest in the construction industry with a willingness to work hard and learn.

• Good skills with hand and power tools.

• Basic math skills and knowledge of mixing compounds.

• General construction experience or willingness to undergo onthejob training.

• Attention to detail and adherence to set standards and rules.

• Stamina motivation and a positive attitude.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to climb kneel balance crouch crawl and reach.

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds or a 92pound cement bag with assistance.

• Requires good vision physical stamina and the ability to estimate size and dimensions accurately.
