Job Description
The Westerner in West Valley City UT is looking to hire a parttime Barback to support our bartenders by cleaning washing glasses restocking and assisting with anything else as needed. ABOUT THE WESTERNER
We first opened our doors in 1962 as Salt Lake Citys original country dance hall bar and grill! Over the years our stage has been home to wellknown artists from Brad Paisley and George Jones to Rascal Flatts and The Dixie Chicks. Whether our clients are looking for good music good food or a good time they can always find it with us! Our multifunctional design creates fun nights filled with live music free mechanical bull rides pool tables line dance lessons couple dance lessons a karaoke room and more! A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A BARBACK
As a Barback you are the lifeblood of our bar! You support our bartending system and ensure that our bartenders have everything they need to be successful in their position. Its important that you are able to be proactive and anticipate our bartenders needs in a fastpaced environment. You wash glassware help dispense beer and restock supplies as needed. You also help with cleaning around the area keeping our bar organized and neat. We train our barbacks to be future bartenders so there is plenty of room for advancement! You feel good about using your cleaning and service skills to keep our bar fun safe and functional for everyone!
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A BARBACK
- At least 21 years of age
- Ability to acquire Utah Alcohol Server training card and Salt Lake County Health Department Food Handlers Permit within 14 days of hire

WORK SCHEDULE FOR A BARBACK
As a parttime position this cleaning role works every Friday and Saturday from 8:00 PM 2:30 AM.
