As a key member of our payroll operations team this role will take full ownership of payroll delivery and compliance across several European countriesstarting with Spain and scaling further. Youll handle daytoday payroll operations vendor coordination statutory compliance internal support and help build new payroll setups across entities. This is a handson highimpact role requiring strong attention to detail technical payroll knowledge and the ability to juggle multiple countries stakeholders and processes.
What youll be investing your time on:
Managing endtoend payroll processingacross the EMEA region including monthly and semimonthly cycles.
Verifying data accuracy reviewing reports and ensuring timely paymentsvia appropriate channels.
Coordinating closely with payroll vendorsreviewing processes tracking performance and handling reconciliations.
Ensuring statutory compliancein every country: taxes social security and mandatory documentation.
Acting as the main point of contactfor internal teams (Finance CSM Sales) and handling employee/client queries.
Supporting entity and payroll setup including system testing calculator configuration and implementation planning.
Preparing and validating clientfacing reportslike variances breakdowns and summary comparisons.
Participating in internal and external auditsand maintaining clear accurate payroll documentation.
Identifying areas for automationand process improvement to scale payroll operations effectively.
Have you done this kind of stuff
57 years of payroll delivery experience including multicountry environments.
Deep knowledge of statutory regulations tax systems and labor compliance in Europe.
Experience working directlywith payroll vendors managing reconciliations and improving process efficiency.
Familiar with implementing new payroll setups transitions or expansions into new countries/entities.
Worked crossfunctionally with Finance HR and Client teamsto support businessasusual operations.
Skilled in preparing accurate detailed reports for both internal stakeholders and external clients.
Ability to identify issues quickly propose effective solutions and take ownership of delivery.
Strong communicator both written and verbal and capable of influencing across multiple functions.
Not a must but good to have:
Background in audit support documentation control or process automation.
Knowledge of payroll practices in multiple European countriesbeyond Spain.
Experience with payroll transitions salary calculator logic or testing payroll setups.
Additional European languages (e.g. Portuguese or French).
