Job Description

Persons in these roles are expected to work from our offices in Seattle.
Our base salary range is $70560 $105840.

This is a temporary 40 hrs/week) position for 3 months.

Who You Are:

Do you like working with cuttingedge computer hardware Do you want to support some of the top minds in the Artificial Intelligence field The Allen Institute for Artificial Intelligence Ai2 is looking for an IT Engineer to join our Infrastructure team. We are building the systems that power our research both in the cloud and onsite. If you join our team you will contribute to the creation of high impact world changing research by providing IT support across the entire organization.

Who We Are:

At Ai2 you will not only be working with a group of talented engineers but with some of the top AI researchers in the world. We have projects on understanding and answering realworld questions learning from pictures and videos and building the worlds best academic search engine. As an IT Engineer on the infrastructure team you would have the chance to learn about and support all of these projects.

We have a beautiful office right on Lake Union in Seattle; catered lunches five times a week; great pay and benefits; smart friendly and helpful coworkers; and even a couple of kayaks you can take out on sunny days.

Your Next Challenge:

The essential functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Providing IT support for all local and remote employees
  • Providing IT and AV support for webcast meetings and talks
  • Troubleshooting and maintaining our internal systems and equipment
  • Testing updating and adding to our user documentation.

What Youll Need:

  • Excellent communication mentoring and customer service skills
  • 13 years in an IT engineer or IT support role
  • Experience administering macOS and Linux operating systems
  • Experience troubleshooting both personal and server hardware
