Job Description
Resurgence Brewing Co. (RBC) believes that enjoying a wellcrafted brew is an experience in itself. However its an experience best shared with friends both new and old. Our goal is to deliver memorable beer and cider moments to the drinkers of the Greater Buffalo region whether theyre at home in their favorite bar or on a tour of our extraordinary brewery.
What youll be doing:
Resurgence brews and Blackbird cider are tasty anywhere and youll be there too! The Event Captain acts as the lead or point person on each event and reports to the Offsite Events Manager. Provide opertational oversight at events we hold offsite such as markets festivals Pints in the Park and Kelkenberg Farm. Youll oversee the staff and logistics of the event and act as the point of contact for staff management and day of event contact(s). The Event Captain will escalate matters of urgency to Management ensure all tasks are being completed as assigned and ensure an exceptional experience for the clients and patrons.
Youll support your coworkers and our patrons to provide and maintain the FU Awesome atmosphere beyond the taproom walls clean friendly and fun. Ideal candidates will support our company culture and vision possess leadership attributes be able and willing to step in when needed possess a cando personality be selfmotivated have a customerfocused attitude be flexible and be willing to learn.
Basics: Coordiante and be responsbile for setup and tear down closing out drawers and properly handling money answer questions from clients patrons and staff address any matters during the event provide postevent debriefs to Management and support event staff by taking orders pouring beer serving cans and engaging with patrons.
It is imperative that you maintain and enforce policies and procedures a clean and welcoming space prepare for the event in advance ensure you have necessary equipment/supplies/product etc. We want someone with the strong desire to promote our brands and provide unparalleled service the ultimate guest experience!
This is a parttime position requiring evening and weekend availability.

- Previous supervisory and/or event coordination experience a plus

- Be able to adapt to volume fluctuation
- Strong work ethic; punctual and attentive to schedule
- Able to follow directions; promote cleanliness and protocols
- Willingness to learn our beer and cider offerings as well as specialty beverages/cocktails
- Must be of state legal age to serve alcohol in your respective state
- Ability to be standing/on your feet for long periods of time including outdoors
- Authorized to work in the US
- Reliable transporation to get to and from various offsite locations
- Current valid driver license to occasionally transport items to the sites
Why Buffalo
RBC is located in the heart of the City of Good Neighbors Buffalo NY. Were a young brewery established in 2013 and on the heels of the resurgence of the city (see what we did there). Many are flocking to the region for our good eats affordable living friendly atmosphere craft brew scene new opportunities and of course experiencing all four seasons!
