POSITION: Project Manager 8M Permitting)

DIVISION: Operations

DEPARTMENT: Toxic Reduction and Control (TRAC)

UNION/GRADE: Unit 9/Grade 25

Coordinates the 8(m) permit and Dig Safe programs and maintains data integrity and reporting for the Operations Division.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:

Works under the general supervision of the Program Manager Construction Permitting.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED:

Provides functional supervision and direction to assigned staff. Ensures activities conducted by assigned staff adhere to established program guidelines.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

A valid Class D Motor Vehicle Operators License.

A valid Grade II Water Distribution License Operator in Training or Grade II Wastewater Collections Systems Operator Certificate.

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED:

Office equipment as normally associated with the use of telephone personal computer including word processing and other software copy and fax machine.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger handle feel or operate objects tools or controls and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stoop kneel crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to stand walk talk hear sit climb and balance.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job the employee regularly works in outside weather conditions. The employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to fumes airborne particles toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock.

The noise level in the work environment is very loud in field settings and moderately loud at pumping stations. Hearing protection is required for some field work in this job.
