As a Food Service Aide (FSA) joining our Village you will:

  • Hold a valid Food Safety Awareness certification or equivalent.
  • Display a caring and respectful attitude toward our residents families and team members.
  • Work in an accurate quick and safe manner.
  • Be able to lift up to 50lbs 520 lb usual) and push/pull wheeled equipment such as carts and trolleys that weigh a maximum of 100 lbs 2050 lb usual).
  • Posses exceptional time management sills and ability to work in collaboration with a team.
  • Assist in serving meals and beverages to our residents ensuring we meet residents diets and food preferences while following safe and sanitary food handling techniques.
  • Support with the preparation of catering functions and events and maintaining a clean dining room and workspace.
  • Be able to stand or walk for the majority of your shift 8hours maximum).
  • Support and embrace our residentcentred social culture and be proud to deliver the highest quality of customer service to our residents.

It would be an asset if our new Food Service Aide has:

  • Completed enrolled in or willing to enroll in the Food Services Worker training program.
  • Smart Serve certification.
