Job Description

Position Title: Mental Health Clinician 0.8 FTE)

Preferred Qualification: Mental Health Nurse

Other Eligible Applicants: Psychologists Social Workers and Occupational Therapists with counselling experience are also strongly encouraged to apply.

Location: Based in Bunbury Western Australia with regular travel to Collie.

We also welcome expressions of interest from Mental Health Clinicians located in Busselton.

About the Opportunity

Were seeking a Mental Health Clinician to join our team at 0.8 FTE 4 days per week) based in Bunbury with regular service delivery in Collie. Candidates who are Registered Mental Health Nurses with counselling experience are preferred however other Mental Health Professionals are encouraged to apply. We also encourage expressions of interest from Mental Health Clinicians based in Busselton.

In this rewarding role youll provide highquality clientcentred mental health services including assessment therapeutic intervention care planning and service coordinationhelping individuals across the Southwest access the support they need to live well.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of clients with a range of mental health needs across Bunbury and Collie
  • Conduct clinical assessments including risk and biopsychosocial assessments
  • Provide counselling and therapeutic interventions tailored to individual needs
  • Develop and review personcentred care plans in collaboration with clients
  • Liaise with GPs service providers and external supports to facilitate holistic care
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to service data and reporting
  • Provide care via facetoface appointments telehealth and regional outreach
  • Participate in clinical reviews and quality improvement initiatives

What You Bring

  • Tertiary qualification and current registration as one of the following:
  1. Mental Health Nurse (preferred with demonstrated counselling experience)
  2. Social Worker
  3. Occupational Therapist
  4. Psychologist (Provisional Registration acceptable)
  • Experience delivering counselling or therapeutic mental health interventions
  • Knowledge of mental health legislation and ethical clinical practices
  • Strong interpersonal communication and documentation skills
  • Capacity to work both independently and as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team

Essential Requirements

  • Current registration with a relevant professional body
  • The right to work in Australia
  • Current WA Drivers Licence
  • Valid National Police Clearance
  • PreEmployment Health Assessment
  • Working with Children Check (if applicable)
