Watson Candidate Assistant is here to answer questions about working at Dallas ISD.- Accredited Senior High School Diploma or valid equivalent (USA equivalency)
- Valid Texas Driver License and acceptable driving record
- Must pass drug/alcohol testing and randomly while employed
- Valid Electricians License as required by the City of Dallas
- Two or more years of directly related experience
- Must be organized and complete daily work assignments
- Must keep accurate records and prepare written reports
- Ability to communicate in English (speak read and write)

Repair troubleshoot and perform scheduled preventive maintenance on cook and hold commercial food service equipment such as heat and holds steam jacket kettle ventahoods steam tables etc.
- Repair troubleshoot and perform scheduled preventive maintenance on cook and hold commercial food service equipment
- Manage and maintain inventory of parts and tools
- Read and interpret shop drawings blueprints or sketches to determine parts fabrication needs or material needed for equipment installation
- Diagnose troubleshoot repair service and perform schedule preventive maintenance on commercial ventahood systems in school kitchens. Determine the installation of utilities needed for equipment such as plumbing and electrical
- Specify and order parts from vendors using appropriate Dallas ISD purchasing procedures
- Estimate the amount of material and parts needed for work order completion
- Complete required documentation including work orders material requisitions purchase orders etc
- Required to respond to all emergency call outs as needed including nights weekends and holidays
- Report damaged product property or equipment to management
- Report district property or equipment misuse to management
- Maintain truck maintenance and upkeep tool/material inventory and dispose of s material properly
- Adhere to Dallas ISD policy regarding transfer of equipment for salvage
- Communicate effectively with Department Heads Principals and all other maintenance personnel in a professional manner during all phases to complete each job or project
- Must lift and/or move up to 50 lbs of equipment and/or food
- Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned
- All federally funded incumbents of this position must comply with time and effort reporting requirements through personnel activity reports or periodic certification as appropriate
Selected individuals for Dallas Independent School District positions will be placed according to compensation guidelines.
