Merchandiser - Seasonal Hoquiam

Please note: This is a seasonal position ending no later than the end of September. There is the possibility of it becoming permanent depending on performance and company need.

SCHEDULE: 5AM 3PM Friday Saturday and Sunday

GENERAL SCOPE: Opportunity to use pride and passion for Olympic Eagles portfolio of beverages to create and maintain an image of being the leader in the market. This position is responsible for instore presentation and stocking as well as a small amount of selling. The person in this role must be able to follow the strict guidelines and requirements set by Olympic Eagle and their suppliers. Enjoys working alone following guidelines meeting deadlines and delivering impeccable customer service. People who excel in this position will be given the opportunity for advancement within Olympic Eagle. Fulltime position. Must be available 7 days per week. Flexible work hours and schedule available.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Driving vehicle to retail locations to service and maintain Olympic Eagle standards of customer service product displays and cooler presentation
• Build and rebuild displays according to Olympic Eagles strict guidelines and requirements
• Restock coolers while paying attention to freshness codes/dates and rotating and facing product as required
• Restock displays while paying attention to freshness codes/dates and rotating and facing product as required
• Rotate and work back stock as necessary
• Maintain a clean and neat/organized van at all times according to City Beverages Van Responsibility Policy
• Maintain City Beverages impeccable image through actions and appearance at all times
• Deliver consistent dependable service and support to the sales and operations departments
• Ability to work as a team player and be flexible as other merchandisers sales people and drivers may need assistance or coverage on their routes any time
• Operate hand truck six wheeler cart and pallet jack to move product to and from stock rooms to displays etc.
• Maintain daily/weekend call sheet and submit to supervisor in a timely manner
• Know understand and conform to the rules of the WSLCB and the BATF
• Follow all safety procedures and processes including but not limited to lifting reaching and driving.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Ability to regularly and frequently lift a maximum of 25 lbs required
• Must have a valid drivers license and be insurable
• Beverage industry experience preferred but not required

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Driving to and from customer locations in company van
• Subject to customer location working conditions (i.e. grocery stores convenience stores etc.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand walk reach with hands and arms twist bend and occasionally stoop climb squat and kneel. This position requires the extensive use of hands and arms to lift rotate and face product as well as the ability to reach and climb to the tops of displays and full pallets. Specific vision abilities include close peripheral depth perception and the ability to adjust focus for the purpose of assessing image of displays.

Employees are able to enroll themselves and their families in medical dental and vision insurance. 401k is provided to nonunion employees. Union employees will be part of a pension program. Employees will also receive 8 paid holidays and up to 40 hours of vacation after the first year of employment. This will increase to 80 hours at 2 years. We follow the Washington State Sick Leave for sick time accruals.
