Job Description: Biomedical Equipment Technician III (Contract) Elmira NY
Overview
We are seeking a skilled Biomedical Equipment Technician III to join our team on a contract basis in Elmira NY. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in maintaining repairing and calibrating a wide range of hospital medical equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on hospital medical equipment
- Calibrate equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations
- Troubleshoot and diagnose medical equipment malfunctions
- Order parts and supplies as needed
- Document all maintenance and repair activities
- Train and mentor junior technicians
Qualifications
- Associates degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology or related field Preferred.
- 5 years of experience as a Biomedical Equipment Technician
- Strong knowledge of medical equipment systems and components
- Excellent troubleshooting and problemsolving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Must pass background and drug screen
- Must be authorized to work in the United Sates.
