Job Description

GHJ Search and Staffing serves as the recruitment division of GHJ a prominent national accounting and advisory firm. Our team provides qualified Accounting and Finance professionals on a temporary and permanent basis across a broad range of industries. GHJs relationship with our Global Advisory and Accounting Network provides the resources needed to better understand clients needs attract a higher caliber of candidates and assess candidate potential.

An impactful nonprofit organization is looking to bring on a Staff Accountant to support its growing finance function. This role offers a chance to contribute to meaningful work while gaining exposure to a range of accounting responsibilities. Reporting to the Controller the Staff Accountant will assist with routine financial tasks and play a key role in maintaining accurate and timely records.

What Youll Do:

Process and record daytoday financial transactions including invoices payments and journal entries
Perform monthly reconciliations and assist in the monthend close
Help maintain organized financial documentation to support internal reporting and external audits
Support team efforts related to budgeting grants and compliance tracking as needed

What Were Looking For:

Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related
15 years of accounting experience ideally in a nonprofit or missionaligned setting
Familiarity with basic accounting concepts and general ledger systems
Proficiency in Excel and comfort working with financial data

$70000 $75000 a year
