Job Description
Our Village of Riverside Glen located in Guelph Ontario has an exciting opportunity for a TEMPORARY FULL TIME RECREATION TEAM MEMEBER to join their team.
Shift Details :
- 75 hours biweekly
- Every other weekend required

As a new Recreation Team Member you will:
- Have experience working with the geriatric population
- Display a caring and respectful attitude toward our residents families and team members
- Support and embrace our residentcentred social culture.
- Work as key member of our Village and neighbourhood multidisciplinary teams to understand residents individual needs
- Foster exemplary relationships with residents their families and the Village team to deliver holistic services
- Knowledge of the five domains in Therapeutic Recreation that contribute to an individuals health
It would be an asset if our new Recreation Team Members has:
- Enrolled in or completed a diploma or degree recreation/leisure studies and/or gerontology from a community college or university is an asset
- Knowledge of relevant policies procedures legislation and regulations applicable to the longterm care sector including the LongTerm Care Homes Act 2007 and Health & Safety
- Experience working with people living with dementia
