JOB SUMMARY
Under the guidance of the Controller the Staff Accountant will play a vital role in ensuring financial accuracy compliance and the smooth operation of our organizations finances. This position offers the flexibility to work remotely within the State of Oregon.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Daily Accounting Tasks
- Accurately record financial transactions in the general ledger ensuring adherence to accounting principles.
- Support the accounts payable process by creating vendors in the ERP system reviewing invoices etc.
- Manage the creation and maintenance of new departments and accounts within the general ledger and chart of accounts.
- Address information requests promptly review financial statements and provide support during audits.
Reporting and Analysis
- Prepare comprehensive monthly and quarterly reports on fixed assets depreciation and cash flow.
- Provide analysis of cash flow trends and identify variance against budget projections.
- Complete and submit all required State and Federal reporting forms with accuracy and timeliness.
- Conduct thorough monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
- Collaborate on financial statement preparation emphasizing fixed assets and cashrelated entries.
Compliance and Internal Controls
- Adhere to company policies for fixed asset accounting and cash handling.
- Maintain thorough documentation for all fixed asset transactions.
- Support the implementation and oversight of internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance.
Other Duties
- Provide additional support to the finance team to enhance departmental performance in alignment with Curry Health Networks Mission Vision and Shared Values.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance (required).
- Three 3 years of General Ledger and/or Fixed Asset accounting experience (preferred).
- Experience with Premier software (preferred).
Required Knowledge Skills & Abilities
- Proficiency in using personal computers for word processing data entry and automated time systems. Advanced experience with MS Excel and familiarity with MS Office (Word Outlook).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Exceptional attention to detail accuracy and organizational skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and management.
PHYSICAL & WORK REQUIREMENTS
- Physical Activity: Primarily sedentary with occasional walking standing and light lifting (up to 25 lbs).
- Manual Dexterity: Frequent use of hands and fine motor skills.
- Vision & Hearing: Requires close vision and ability to hear alarms and verbal instructions.
- Work Environment: Quiet officebased setting with minimal exposure to environmental hazards.
