Job Description

Position Summary
The Clinical Research Coordinator assists with the of study protocols including screening and recruiting study participants conducting study visits and collecting entering and reviewing study data. The range of duties for this position include project planning and design developing methodology database development and management data/information collection and analysis project administration program and/or policy development and evaluation preparing publications and reports and related products communication instruction and public education. Work may include the training and supervision of staff students and others. Patients will be recruited for multiple ongoing clinical trials in Labor and Delivery and in busy OB clinic settings. The coordinator must have the ability to work independently manage multiple projects and concurrent and/or complex assignments as well as the ability to assess ongoing needs of the projects. The coordinator is expected to display good communication skills and excellent attention to detail demonstrate interpretive analytical and organizational skills. This position will be responsible for preparing and editing datasheets. Data is entered into a computerized research database. The person in this position will collect and process research specimens. The specimen processing includes centrifuging the samples aliquoting into the correct tubes freezing and occasionally using liquid nitrogen or dry ice for storage and shipping.

Required Qualifications Competencies And Experience
* Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to work and communicate with diverse populations effectively and professionally. * Ability to work independently as well as function as part of a team. * Human subjects research experience * Knowledge of social/clinical research principles study design methods of data/information collection and data analysis * Proficient with Microsoft Outlook Excel and Word.

Preferred Qualifications Competencies And Experience
* Experience providing care for patients in an inpatient or outpatient setting

Work Schedule
MonFri Hours vary beginning from 6:00 AM through 5:00 PM with occasional oncall or weekend hours.
