Job Title: Advanced Facilities Analyst
Location: Huntsville AL

Duties:
Canvas desires a talented Facilities Analyst to join our team! In this role you will get to perform facilities planning design and construction assignments applying your facilities acquisition experience and analysis skills.
What Youll Be Doing:
Assist the Government Project Manager to plan program design execute and document Military Construction (MILCON) and sustainment restoration and modernization (SRM) projects.
Interact with and coordinate facilities design and construction tasks with the government customer host installations A&E firms and executing agencies.
Independently develop and/or supervise the creation of facilities acquisition products that meet customer quality requirements. This includes defining the problem establishing the work scope preparing the budget and schedule planning the work providing technical direction and reporting the work status. Typical products may include detailed calculations drawings procurement documents design and installation packages proposal evaluations technical reports and detailed analyses.
Participate in project planning and design scoping sessions charrettes and reviews.
Provide support in project status reviews via status meetings and schedule reviews.
Provide support for other technical activities as required.
Provide input and technical guidance to CAD designer/drafters designers and lowerlevel team members working on the same project.
Provide construction surveillance.
Prepare project briefings in Microsoft PowerPoint and information papers in Microsoft Word.
Draft review and contribute to technical reports and documentation.
Requirements
BA/BS degree with 13 years of relevant experience.
MA/MS in any field may be substituted for 3 years of relevant experience.
* Extensive knowledge skills and abilities as an analyst.
Capable of leading and executing extensive technical support efforts for planning design construction and maintenance/sustainment of the physical and natural built environments and the administrative and mission facilities and infrastructure of the DoD customer.
Capable of leading the development and utilization of analytic tools techniques and processes for both technical and administrative support activities.
Capable of leading and executing analytical tasks utilizing analytical techniques and processes for complex developmental and operational programs.
Possess indepth technical and theoretical knowledge for an applicable facilitiesrelated discipline.
Comprehensive expertise in of facility planning and design; environmental planning studies and analysis; and management of related project activities.
Capable of working independently or leading teams to solve technical problems.
Capable of providing daily supervision and direction to support teams.
Experienced in facilities requirements development design construction closeout and configuration management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
CONUS and OCONUS travel up to 25 of time.
Desired Qualifications
Civil Engineering Structural Engineering Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Construction Management or other STEM field.
Specialized knowledge of design analysis and review of complex structural systems designed to withstand weapons effects and unique environmental effects such as seismic or wind loading effects.
Working knowledge of USACE/NAVFAC/DPW construction project construction documents shop drawings RFIs and submittal reviews.
Familiar with Unified Facilities Criteria (i.e. UFC 330101 UFC 330102 and Unified Facilities Guide Specifications (UFGS).
Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
