Job Overview
Podar Education Network is seeking a dedicated Psychological Counselor for our Hubballi location. This fulltime juniorlevel role requires a candidate with a maximum of 6 years of experience in the field. As a Psychological Counselor you will support students emotional and mental wellbeing ensuring they achieve their academic potential through expert guidance.
Qualifications and Skills
- A Masters degree in psychology is essential for candidacy (Mandatory skill).
- Proficiency in cognitive behavioral therapy to aid students in managing and altering unhelpful behaviours and thoughts.
- Crisis intervention expertise enabling prompt and effective responses to students in critical situations.
- Strong skills in solutionfocused therapy fostering goaloriented strategies to support students effectively.
- Exceptional active listening abilities crucial for understanding and addressing student concerns accurately.
- Competency in traumainformed care to ensure a compassionate approach to students with a history of trauma.
- Multicultural competence is vital for respecting and understanding cultural differences within the student body.
- Experience as a counselor providing professional expertise in guiding students towards personal and academic growth.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide oneonone and group counseling sessions to offer guidance and support to students.
- Assess student needs and develop personalized intervention plans to address emotional and psychological challenges.
- Conduct workshops and educational programs to enhance students coping strategies and resilience.
- Collaborate with teachers parents and school staff to create a supportive environment for students.
- Monitor student progress providing feedback and adjustments to counseling strategies as needed.
- Respond promptly to crisis situations and provide appropriate interventions and support.
- Maintain accurate records of counseling sessions and progress assessments in compliance with confidentiality laws.
- Stay updated on the latest counseling practices and integrate new techniques into counseling methods.
