The Opportunity
The ECE Program Supervisor is responsible for the oversightand continuous improvement of LINC childcare programs ensuring a nurturinginclusive and diverse environment that meets the needs of all children andfamilies. This role requires a proactive and accountable leader with strongtechnological proficiency and a deep understanding of multicultural andsettlement challenges. The supervisor will implement policies and bestpractices aligned with B.C. Childcare Licensing regulations and the B.C. EarlyLearning Framework while fostering a nonjudgmental equitable and biasfreeworkplace.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Accountability:
Overseethe daytoday operations of the childcare programs ensuring compliance withlicensing regulations and agency policies.
Establishclear accountability measures for program staff ensuring adherence to ethicalchildcare standards.
Maintaintransparency and responsiveness in decisionmaking and problemsolving.
Serve asthe Licensing Manager reporting to the Childcare Licensing Officer.
Technology & Innovation:
Utilizedigital tools for program planning documentation and staff training.
Implementtechnologydriven tracking systems for attendance performance evaluations andprofessional development.
Leverageonline platforms for curriculum development and communication with staff andfamilies.
Diversity Inclusion & Equity:
Ensureprograms are culturally responsive inclusive and meet the unique needs ofimmigrant and refugee families.
Foster aworkplace culture of respect open communication and biasfreedecisionmaking.
Providetraining on equity diversity and inclusion to staff and incorporate thesevalues into daily operations.
Supervision & Staff Development:
Recruitonboard and provide continuous professional development for staff.
Conductregular performance evaluations providing feedback and growth opportunities.
Mediatestaff conflicts fairly and impartially ensuring a supportive work environment.
Encouragea collaborative teambased approach to childcare and education.
Program Development & Quality Assurance:
Developand oversee ageappropriate curricula and learning activities aligned with bestpractices.
Regularlyevaluate childcare programs implementing improvements based on feedback andemerging trends.
Monitorcompliance with B.C. Childcare Licensing regulations ensuring a safe andenriching environment for children.
Family & Community Engagement:
Facilitateconnections between families and community resources to support holistic childdevelopment.
Organizeworkshops and outreach initiatives for parents to enhance family participation.
Promotepublic awareness of the program by attending events and building partnershipswith local organizations.
Administrative & Financial Oversight:
Manageprogram budgets responsibly ensuring costeffective operations whilemaintaining quality.
Track anddocument expenditures staff schedules program reports and compliancerecords.
Streamlineadministrative processes using technology for efficient recordkeeping andreporting.
Operations:
Supportthe team and be available on the floor when needed.
Covershifts as required to maintain continuity of childcare services.
Qualified candidates will possess:
EarlyChildhood Education (ECE) Certificate with a minimum of two years ofmanagerial/supervisor experience in childcare.
Strongleadership skills with proven accountability and decisionmaking abilities.
Knowledgeand experience in implementing technology within childcare or educationalsettings.
Commitmentto fostering an inclusive diverse and nonjudgmental environment.
Excellentcommunication conflict resolution and organizational skills.
Experienceworking with multicultural communities and understanding settlement issues.
StandardFirst Aid Child Safe Training Food Safe will be an asset
A secondlanguage (preferred).
