Job Description
Founded in 2013 Voodoo is a tech company that creates mobile games and apps with a mission to entertain the world. Gathering 800 employees 7 billion downloads and over 200 million active users Voodoo is the #3 mobile publisher worldwide in terms of downloads after Google and Meta. Our portfolio includes charttopping games like Mob Control and Block Jam alongside popular apps such as BeReal and Wizz.
Team
The Voodoo AdNetwork team is an autonomous product of around 30 people that carries the ambitious mission of providing ad network services. One goal is to leverage Voodoos first party data to improve Voodoos monetisation. Moreover the product is growing through new ventures like opening to external inventory reaching external advertisers market and social network monetisation through BeReal recent acquisition. Thanks to promising results our ambition is now to further scale up the team to support growth.
The product is composed of toptier software engineers infrastructure engineers data engineers mobile engineers and data scientists.
The Models team is a core element of the targeting performance. It leverages machine learning and a strong business understanding to directly impact the product financial performance. Its composed of mostly seniors Data Analysts Analytics Engineers Data Engineers and Data Scientists/ML Engineers that iterate together on finding and building the next performing iteration.
The role requires to be onsite in our Paris office 3days/week.
Role
- Build and structure the Models team data pipelines.
- Improve our pipelines quality through better practices data tests task scheduling code reviews and codebase organization.
- Acquire a global product understanding and build data pipelines to promote new machine learning and data analytics use cases.
- Help our most ambitious data pipelines handle the required scale refresh rate or latency constraints.
- Improve our development and integration flow.
- Help us develop our CI/CD pipelines and our tooling.
- Make proactive recommendations to improve on the bottlenecks youve identified.
- Acquire an understanding of machine learning to maximise the applicability of your actions
- Be a link with Voodoo Engineering Analytics Engineers team and exchange on tools and best practices
- Work in an agile environment with a fast decision process.
- Collaborate directly with people working on backend development data science mobile games broad audience mobile apps product & marketing.

Profile
- Extensive experience as an Analytics Engineer or another similar role
- Understanding of data lakehouse design and optimization
- Understanding of how to achieve efficient and robust data modeling
- Maintain comprehensive documentation to propagate best practices and share product knowledge
- Excellent communication skills with ability to understand and communicate on both business or technical topics
- Keep uptodate with the latest data technologies and methodologies ensuring our team remains at the forefront of data engineering data visualization data tools and infrastructure innovation.
- Familiarity with scalability reliability and security topics
- Understanding some of the challenges involved in running ML models in production will be valued
