Administration
- Fulfill administrative requirements promptly & efficiently (i.e. Incident Reports Maintenance Work Request Programming evaluations Duty logs etc.
- Fulfill weekday weekend and break onduty requirements as assigned by RD.
- Assist in the opening and closing of the buildings each semester as assigned by RD.
- Attend scheduled weekly staff meetings 1on1s RA trainings New Student Orientation socials and CC Lead events.
- Participate in the RA selection process.
- Lead and take attendance at all hall meetings.
Leadership
- Serve as a peer mentor to assist residents in resolving problems.
- Be a resource by referring residents to Student Development services and encourage students to utilize them.
- Respond positively to all situations.
- Demonstrate effective listening skills and learn to ask good questions.
Community Building & Programming
- Be available to talk with residents about concerns interests and needs.
- Become personally acquainted with all students on your hall.
- Develop and maintain a positive community atmosphere that is conducive to learning.
- Model healthy relationships personal habits and a positive attitude.
- Initiate and organize hall programs.
- Facilitate a weekly prayer and praise.
- Attend and encourage participation at campus and hall events.
Crisis Management & Safety
- Be familiar with the colleges emergency protocol.
- Assist in the handling of all emergency situations.
- Fulfill weekday weekend and break duty requirements.
- Report incidents that you become aware of.
Policy Enforcement
- Explain Covenant College policies and procedures to students and encourage compliance by discussing and enforcing regulations fairly and consistently.
- Confront students who fail to comply with policies or violate other students rights and support other staff members in the enforcement of these policies.
- Live in agreement with the spirit and letter of the rules and regulations stated in the Student Handbook Residence Hall Manual Apartment Manual and all other official college publications.
Professional Development
- Live in a manner that is worthy of the Lord and pleasing to Him.
- Any other employment during theacademic year must be approved by your RD.
- Fulfill other duties as assigned by the RD.

- Planted Conference: April
- Fall Training: 08/13/25 by 4:00 pm 8/28/25
- Christmas Break: 12/19/25.(RAs depart when all residents have departed)
- Return to campus: 01/7/26 by 5:00 pm
- End Date: 05/9/25 (RAs depart when all residents have departed)
For your services to Covenant College you will be paid $4400 before taxes for the academic year.
