Brief Description of Duties
The Program Associate for Youth Development will implement youth development activities through 4H Youth Development Clubs in DC Public & Chartered Schools and Communitybased Organizations focused specifically on Food and Nutrition Translation Food Safety and other related youth development programs in the College of Agriculture Urban Sustainability and Environmental Sciences (CAUSES). The Program Associate reports directly to the Director of the Center for Nutrition Diet and Health and will utilize the community resourcing and volunteer training model by identifying and training as volunteers community experts to implement 4H clubs. The incumbent is expected to perform assigned duties with a high degree of independence professionalism initiative and efficiency exercising good judgment. Collective Bargaining Unit (Union): This position is in the collective bargaining unit represented by AFSCME local 2087 and you may be required to pay an agency service fee through direct payroll deduction.

Bona fide District residency must be maintained from the date of appointment to the position for seven 7 consecutive years. Failure to maintain bona fide District residency for the 7 year period will result in forfeiture of employment.

Background Investigation: Employment with the University of the District of Columbia is contingent upon a satisfactory background investigation. The determination of a satisfactory backgroundinvestigation is made at the sole discretion of the University of the District of Columbia.
