Senior Systems Engineer

In this strategic position you will collaborate closely with PCISIG to create and define test standards for the evolving PCIe/CXL technologies. Additionally you will work with our engineering teams to translate these standards into actionable cuttingedge test solutions. This role will position you at the intersection of technology industry leadership and product innovation ensuring Tektronix continues to lead in highperformance testing and validation solutions.

As a Domain Expert and industry lead in PCIe and CXL you will drive the alignment of Tektronixs product portfolio with the latest industry trends customer needs and emerging standards shaping the future of PCIe and CXL technologies in the market.

What youll do:

• Standards Representation & Advocacy: Represent Tektronix in industry standards bodies (e.g. PCISIG CXL UCIe consortiums) actively participating in working groups to help shape and evolve standards keeping Tektronix at the forefront of technological advancements.
• Solution Architecting & Technology Alignment: Lead the design and architecture of solutions that leverage the latest industry standards and technologies ensuring Tektronixs offerings align with current and future PCIe CXL and UCIe standards.
• Strategic Partnerships & Industry Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with industry stakeholders and key partners to drive collaborative technology development identify market opportunities and address customer needs in data center server and storage systems.
• Product & Marketing Strategy: Drive product and marketing strategies by synthesizing insights from industry trends competitor analysis and customer feedback to inform value propositions and market differentiation. Provide technical guidance for the creation of sales collateral technical papers application notes etc.
• Problem Solving & Customer Success: Address complex technical challenges by collaborating closely with customers to understand their needs translating these insights into innovative solutions. Provide technical guidance and support pre and postsales to enhance customer satisfaction and product adoption.
• Thought Leadership & Technical Content: Publish technical papers present at industry conferences and develop highimpact content that positions Tektronix as a leader in PCIe and CXL validation establishing a strong presence in the technical community.
• Crossfunctional Collaboration and Leadership: Mentor and leadbyinfluence across the organization fostering innovation and technical excellence while collaborating closely with Product Management R&D Sales and Marketing to align roadmaps product development and messaging.

Minimum Qualifications:

This role is pivotal to advancing Tektronixs influence in the PCI technology ecosystem. The ideal candidate will possess:

Bachelors or Masters in Electrical Engineering Computer Science/Engineering or related technical field.

• 8 years in highspeed serial data interface design characterization and/or validation.
• Proven experience engaging in industry standards bodies or technology consortiums with a strong understanding of how standards shape the technology landscape.
• Experience in highspeed serial compliance and/or protocol measurements using highend lab equipment (oscilloscopes BERTs AWGs etc.
• Strong analytical skills for synthesizing technical and market data to shape product strategy.
• Excellent communication skills to represent Tektronix in industry forums and partnerships.
• Passion for PCIe technology and commitment to advancing standards through collaboration.
• Travel: Up to 25 for conferences customer meetings and standards events.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience with semiconductor industry
• Strong understanding of PCIe/CXL standards and specifications
• Experience in PCIe/CXL validation/characterization
• Experience leading crossfunctional initiatives across product engineering and marketing
• A strong publication record in technical journals or conferences
