Job Description
This internship will provide opportunities to gain realworld work experience and meet people in the nursing occupation and health care industry. It will provide a chance to see how the concepts and theories learned in nursing school play out in the workplace.
The Nurse Intern will be able to operate independently in a nurse assistant/tech role. Under the supervision of a mentor the Nurse Intern is responsible for assisting the department in which they are assigned by providing limited nursing care and ancillary assistance while expanding their knowledge and understanding of nursing. The Nurse Intern will also be learning the processes workflow documentation and skills in a variety of clinical and ancillary departments.
Regulatory/Educational Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Completed 1 semester of an accredited RN education program.
- Current BLS certification.
Language Skills:
- Able to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing.
- Additional languages preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills.
Skills:
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Strong communication skills.
