Job Description
SEASONAL LABORER PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT
Location: Exeter Township PA
Hourly Wage: Per Teamsters Local Union No. 429 Collective Bargaining Agreement
Schedule: Monday Friday 7:00 AM 3:30 PM; Saturday and Sunday hours as needed
Duration: Seasonal up to 7 months
Exeter Township is looking for Seasonal Laborers to assist our Public Works Department during peak maintenance seasons. This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy working outdoors operating equipment and gaining handson experience in municipal public works.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with road maintenance including paving sealing drainage repairs and tree removal
- Help with landscaping mowing and general property upkeep
- Support stormwater system repairs and sign installations
- Assist with leaf collection debris removal and cleanup projects
- Follow safety protocols and assist with traffic control when needed
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years or older
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Valid PA Drivers License required (CDL preferred but not required)
- Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Experience with manual labor landscaping or equipment operation is a plus
