Job Description

Human Resources Generalist (Manufacturing OnSite)

Luxfer Magtech specializes in developing manufacturing and supplying a broad range of products that safeguard and protect from flameless ration heaters that give our U.S. Military a hot meal innovative chemical response kits designed to detect and decontaminate chemical warfare agents to nutritious hot food and beverage options for militaries and first responders.

Position:

The Human Resources Generalist position is a key member of the HR Team and vital to the departments success. This is a true generalist role with exposure to nearly all facets of the human resources functionality sometimes all in the same day! Flexibility and adaptability are a must.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide support on a variety of HR topics including talent development retention performance management employee relations policy interpretation and conflict resolution
  • Sources recruits interviews and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; leads the hourly recruitment process (direct hire and temporary labor)
  • Initiates screenings (background drug employment EVerify and I9
  • Attends and participates in hiring events
  • Maintains compliance with federal state and local employment laws and regulations
  • Conduct new hire and temporary labor orientation
  • Processing of FMLA terminations unemployment claims and employment verifications
  • Assist in HR Reporting activities by updating regular and adhoc reports for the HR Scorecard
  • Maintain and coordinate employee recognition and engagement activities
  • Conduct exit interviews analyze data and make recommendations to the management team for corrective action and continuous improvement
  • Handles employmentrelated inquiries from applicants employees and supervisors referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the Senior HR Manager
  • Prepare newemployee files and maintain accurate employee files related to personal and work status affairs
  • Other duties within competence as requested

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources or related field desired; or combination of education and relevant experience considered
  • 3 years working in a relevant capacity required HR and/or recruiting role within a manufacturing environment desired
  • PHR Certification desired
  • Experience with ADP beneficia
