I. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES
Texas Education Agency requires the services of 1 Systems Analyst 2 hereafter referred to as Candidate(s) who meets the general qualifications of Systems Analyst 2 Applications/Software Development and the specifications outlined in this document for the Texas Education Agency.
Job Summary:
The Level 2 Server Administrator will be responsible for maintaining upgrading and managing our software hardware and networks. The contractor will diagnose and resolve problems quickly to ensure that our technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT computer systems engineering or systems administration.

Key Responsibilities:
- Install and configure server hardware and software.
- Manage Windows and Linux servers and technology tools.
- Monitor system performance to ensure everything runs smoothly and securely.
- Troubleshoot issues reported by users or identified through monitoring tools.
- Perform regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection disaster recovery and failover procedures.
- Maintain security through access controls backups firewalls etc.
- Upgrade systems with new releases and models as necessary.
- Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies.
- Build an internal wiki with technical documentation manuals and policies.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role (minimum of 4 years).
- Experience with Microsoft Teams calling
- Familiarity with various operating systems (Windows/Linux) platforms.
- Resourcefulness and problemsolving aptitude.
