Location: Shropshire
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Fulltime Permanent
Salary: MPS1 (in line with national pay scales for ECTs)

Your Role

As an Art Teacher at our school you will:

  • Teach engaging and inclusive Art lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 introducing students to a variety of artistic techniques and media
  • Support students in developing both technical skills and creative confidence
  • Contribute to curriculum planning alongside a collaborative and experienced department team
  • Use assessment and feedback to help students progress and take pride in their achievements
  • Encourage involvement in extracurricular activities such as art clubs exhibitions and creative school events
  • Create a positive and stimulating classroom environment that inspires every learner

What Were Looking For

Were looking for a motivated and reflective ECT who:

  • Will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) by September 2025
  • Has a degree in Art Fine Art or Art & Design with a strong portfolio and understanding of visual arts practice
  • Is passionate about making Art accessible enjoyable and meaningful for all students
  • Has strong communication and organisational skills
  • Is eager to contribute to a supportive school community and grow as a teacher
  • Shares our values of inclusion creativity and high expectations
