Are you a passionate and creative individual ready to begin your career as an Art Teacher We are seeking a dedicated Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join our welcoming and supportive Art Department in a vibrant secondary school in Shropshire. Your Role
As an Art Teacher at our school you will:
Teach creative and engaging Art lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4 helping them develop technical skills and artistic confidence
Introduce students to a variety of artistic techniques and media encouraging them to experiment and express their ideas
Work collaboratively with an experienced department team to plan and deliver a dynamic curriculum that meets the needs of all learners
Provide constructive feedback and assessments to track students progress and celebrate their achievements
Contribute to extracurricular activities such as art clubs exhibitions and schoolwide creative events helping to nurture students passion for the arts
Create an inclusive and inspiring classroom environment that supports students artistic growth
What Were Looking For
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated ECT who:
Will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) by September 2025
Has a degree in Art Fine Art or Art & Design with a strong portfolio and understanding of visual arts practice
Is passionate about making Art accessible and enjoyable for all students and helping them express themselves creatively
Demonstrates strong communication organisational and classroom management skills
Is eager to grow as a professional and make a meaningful contribution to a supportive school community
