Job Description

Evac has been a pioneer in sustainable technologies and solutions for decades. Today we are the worlds leading provider of integrated Evac water waste and wastewater technologies Cathelco corrosion protection and marine growth prevention and HEM freshwater systems.

As a Field Service Engineer in our Onboard Service team youll be on the front lines of technical support and service deliveryglobally. Whether its commissioning new systems performing advanced troubleshooting training field teams or delivering critical maintenance and repair services youll be instrumental in supporting Evacs mission across sailing vessels shipyards and customer sites worldwide.

Youll bring deep expertise in at least one Evac product range and general competency across multiple systems. Youll also be a key contact for internal stakeholders offering expertlevel technical advice and handson support to ensure customer satisfaction and optimal system performance.

What Youll Do

Onboard Service Tasks

  • Carry out preventive maintenance repair commissioning warranty and project work on customer sites
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with installations and product performance
  • Perform startups product testing and handson customer training
  • Deliver field training for new Service Technicians and Engineers
  • Supervise projects onsite and coordinate with Project Managers

Project & Product Support

  • Provide expert field feedback to Product Management and R&D teams
  • Support warranty and presales surveys including courtesy visits and system reviews
  • Assist with technical support inquiries from internal teams
  • Contribute to equipment testing during development phases

Customer Satisfaction & Sustainability

  • Maintain professional solutionfocused communication with customers
  • Write detailed reports to support service quality improvements and technical documentation
  • Help improve products and services through lessons learned in the field

Our Requirements

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering or relevant vocational qualification
  • Strong mechanical and electrical technical skills
  • Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings blueprints and P&IDs
  • Good working knowledge of MS Word and Excel
  • Solid written and spoken English communication skills
  • Knowledge of control software (basic level)
  • High attention to detail and report writing skills
  • Ability to work under pressure independently or in a team
  • Flexibility for global travel up to 180 days per year
  • Valid drivers licence (B)
  • Suitable physical ability for work on board vessels and at shipyards
