Job Description

Pactos is building the B2B SaaS platform for the contingent workforce management. We help companies streamline the entire sourcetopay process in one single source of truth. Thereby corporates excel in operation efficiency and regain full workforce visibility. Backed by renowned investors we are defining a new market leader.
Tasks
- Design & Build Scalable Systems: Own the architecture development and optimization of our backend systems with a strong focus on performance scalability and clean code.
- EndtoEnd Ownership: Drive the complete development lifecycle: from requirements engineering over system design and implementation to deployment and monitoring.
- Shape our Backend Infrastructure: Select and implement modern backend frameworks tools and technologies to build a futureproof platform.
- Collaborate CrossFunctionally: Work closely with product design and frontend engineering to deliver seamless features and APIs.
- Technical Leadership: Contribute to key technical decisions perform code reviews and mentor fellow engineers to foster best practices.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in backend development with a strong portfolio showcasing complex highperformance web applications
- Deep knowledge of backend technologies ideally
- Experience in designing and building scalable APIs (REST / GraphQL)
- Familiarity with relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL) and caching techniques
- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
- Passion for clean maintainable and welltested code
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
- Highly motivated and proactive mindset with endtoend ownership in a fastpaced startup environment
- Experience working in agile teams (experience with Shape Up is a plus) with excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate crossfunctionally
- Fluency in English and good command of German
