Job Description

Our client is an established and successful US investment bank dedicated to being a trusted advisor to their clients in all aspects of their business and personal finances. Clients are public private and familyowned businesses as well as financial sponsors family offices and other institutional investors.

With offices in strategic locations in the US and Europe our client offers optimal solutions across the full spectrum of investment banking services: executing mergers and acquisitions underwriting of public debt and equity securities private placements of debt and equity as well as restructurings and recapitalisations.

Tasks

As an Associate at our client you have significant responsibility in supporting Senior Bankers with business development relationship maintenance and transaction as you continually develop expertise within the Pharma/Healthcare sector. You work on a variety of corporate finance and M&A transactions at all stages from origination and to transaction closings.

Key tasks include:

  • Creation and of business development and marketing plans in coordination with Senior Bankers.
  • Oversee the of live engagements from the initial preparation phase through the closing of transactions.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of work for Analysts and Interns.
  • Recruit educate and train Investment Banking Analysts and Interns.

Requirements

  • 35 years of experience as an Investment Banking Analyst/Associate.
  • Significant experience executing M&A transactions preferably in the Pharma/Healthcaresector.
  • Exceptional analytical and modelling skills.
  • High energy with strong interpersonal accounting and finance skills.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Extraordinary focus on work quality and attention to detail.
  • Adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English.
  • Ability to learn quickly with a particular focus on accounting rules and financial valuation methodologies.
  • Strong client management skills.
