Location: Williamtown (Not open to remote options)

We are seeking a highly experienced and suitably qualified Project Manager with experience in Defence. Director level exposure with experience in program level reporting is essential.
This task will work under limited direction to perform and achieve moderately complex tasks within an integrated workforce. They will liaise with stakeholders of all levels building good working relationships and providing a point of contact for all enquiries.
Activities
- Perform complex planning and of the Plan to assure delivery of fit for purpose including management of business/project/product scope schedules risks budgets and resources.
- Support the Capability Manager with the development and progression of project/product submissions in accordance with One Defence Capability System requirements eg. gates reviews committees.
- Fundamental Input to Capability (FIC) integration and coordination through high stakeholder engagement and strong relationships.
- Develop update and maintain required project/product documentation required to govern the project/product eg. iPMP.
- Undertake required Project/Product reporting using applicable management systems eg. PPRIP SPMS.
- Undertake Risk Issue and Opportunity identification and management.
- Provision of SME guidance / mentoring to Business/Project/Product team members.
- Where applicable recommend and implement appropriate course of action to progress work to meet business objectives provide advice and guidance on very complex issues.
- Manage workflow and resources prepare work area and team plans detailing measurable milestones and expected outcomes.
Outcomes
- Governance of the SPO s business and achievement of objectives/milestones is actioned.
- Contributed to the achievement of Business project and product objectives/milestones.
- SPO personnel are engaged and reasonably aware of their Business Project/Product Management responsibilities.
- The project/product plan is executed to ensure project/product outcomes within cost schedule and quality thresholds to meet service capability needs as detailed in MAA/MSA PdS.
- Delivered very complex procedural operational administrative and business management activities that support the delivery of outcomes across the SPO.
- Improve Project Assurance Board and the PMU Battle Rhythm
- Invigorate PMU Coaching and Mentoring of Project Management Staff
