We are seeking a commercially astute Senior Finance Manager (Petrochemical industry) to lead our client's finance function with a focus on strategic planning operational control and team development. This role will serve as a critical business partner across various departments ensuring informed decisionmaking through datadriven insights. The ideal candidate will be experienced in managing a lean team improving financial processes and driving performance across multiple facets of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Oversight
Lead the financial planning calendar including midyear forecasts annual operating plans and longterm financial projections.
Collaborate closely with senior leadership to provide financial insights that support strategic initiatives and organizational priorities.
Review and validate business cases for capital investments and cost optimization projects.
Management Reporting & Business Performance
Consolidate and analyse monthly financial performance across business units.
Identify key performance drivers and support operational teams with relevant financial insights.
Ensure accuracy and compliance in all statutory reporting tax filings and audit preparations.
Leadership & Team Development
Supervise the finance team guiding daytoday tasks while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Lead capability building efforts across the finance function including training and succession planning.
Provide mentorship and serve as a point of escalation for complex accounting or operational matters.
Process & System Enhancements
Champion automation and digital tools that drive efficiency and reduce manual workload.
Improve financial systems utilization (e.g. Oracle Vena or similar platforms) ensuring data accuracy and timely reporting.
Lead process improvements across accounts payable receivables and financial reporting workflows.
Qualifications & Atibutes
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance Accounting or a related field. CPA / CA or other relevant certifications are preferred.
Minimum of 8–12 years' progressive experience in finance roles with at least 2–3 years in a managerial capacity.
Strong foundation in financial modelling reporting tools and business analytics.
Track record of leading highperforming teams and delivering results in a dynamic environment.
Confident communicator with excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
Comfortable operating in a handson role within a lean structure.
