We are a trusted provider in the building supply industry delivering highquality products and excellent customer service. As we continue to grow we are seeking a reliable and experienced Credit Manager to join our finance team at our Jacksonville FL office.
Position Summary:
The Credit Manager is responsible for managing the company s credit and collections process assessing credit risk setting credit limits and working closely with customers to ensure timely payments. This position does not include direct reports but plays a key role in safeguarding company revenue and maintaining strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate new and existing customer creditworthiness by reviewing financial information trade references and payment history
- Establish and monitor customer credit limits and terms in accordance with company policies
- Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on past due accounts
- Partner with sales and customer service teams to resolve billing and payment issues
- Maintain accurate and uptodate customer account records
- Negotiate payment plans and coordinate collection efforts when necessary
- Assist with monthend close processes and reporting on AR status and bad debt reserves
- Recommend and implement process improvements to reduce credit risk and DSO (Days Sales Outstanding)
- Ensure compliance with internal credit policies and relevant legal regulations
Requirements
Qualifications:
- 3 5 years of experience in credit management or related accounts receivable roles
- Strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of credit and collections processes
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP software
- Ability to manage a highvolume workload and prioritize tasks effectively
- Degree in Accounting Finance or related field is preferred but not required
- Experience in the building supply or construction industry is a plus
