SENIOR ACCOUNTANT (Permanent)
Our client an established nonprofit organization in WNY is looking to hire a Senior Accountant to join their growing team. This is a newly created role due to exponential growth of the organization has potential for promotions in the future and reports directly to the Controller.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily grant accounting responsibilities to ensure proper allocation of funds
- Manage 100s of grants on a weekly basis properly inputting entries
- Regularly reconcile accounts for accuracy including check logs and gift uploads
- Manage deposit allocations for each fund conducting Stripe reconciliations
- Assist with internal and external audits providing necessary paperwork preparing reports and ensuring compliance is maintained
- Analyze current financial processes and suggest areas for improvement and provide educated recommendations
- Remain up to date with grant accounting regulations to ensure compliance is maintained at all times
- Ensure Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) are maintained
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure financial responsibilities are performed with the utmost professionalism integrity and accuracy
- Complete special projects as assigned
- Other duties as assigned/as necessary
Details:
- Position is fulltime direct hire
- Standard 40 hours/week MF 8:005:00 with some flexibility
- Hybrid schedule after initial probationary period: 3 days inoffice 2 days WFH
- $70000 $75000 annually depending on experience

- Bachelor s degree in Accounting Finance or related
- 3 years Accounting experiences nonprofit preferred
- Excellent computer skills
- Great interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
