Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic and collaborative team. In this role you will ensure the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems while contributing to a variety of technical projects under the guidance of the Engineering Manager. Responsibilities include electrical design power system analysis project management and providing technical support to meet client needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Arc Flash Analysis:
- Conduct and oversee short circuit calculations medium and lowvoltage coordination evaluations to optimize protective relay and breaker settings.
- Perform arc flash studies in compliance with NFPA IEEE 1584 and other relevant industry standards.
- Engage in onsite data collection activities as required.
- Safety Compliance:
- Ensure all work complies with relevant codes standards and safety regulations.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare engineering documents including drawings sketches instructions calculations and reports ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in power system studies and using electrical modeling software (e.g. SKM Power Tools ETAP Easy Power).
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes standards and criteria for power systems including NFPA 70 & 70E and IEEE 1584.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to travel 1020 as needed with travel duration varying based on project requirements (ranging from a few days to a few weeks).
