The Department of Ecology is hiring aStormwater Workgroup Project Manager (Environmental Planner 4within theWater Quality Program.

As the project manager you will be solely responsible for ensuring that Ecologys support and administration of the Stormwater Work Group meets the expectations of its members. While working for the regulatory agency that administers stormwater permits you will need to maintain independence and focus on fostering collaboration across local state and federal agencies as well as with private entities. A strong understanding of municipal stormwater permit requirements will be essential to effectively coordinate work group activities and programs.

About the Water QualityProgram
The mission of the Water Quality Program is to ensure that all aquatic life and communities in the watershed experience cool clean water to refresh and sustain us in a changing climate.
You will serves as the sole project manager for the Stormwater Work Group in the Water Quality Program. The Stormwater Work Group is an external oversight committee that provides an established recognized process to discuss stormwater permit issues and monitoring approaches. The Stormwater Work Group also provides decisionmaking for the Stormwater Action Monitoring program which implements stormwater monitoring research projects. You will have the responsibility to coordinate and facilitate work group meetings prepare and publish work products prepare outreach materials and give presentations and trainings regarding Stormwater Work Group activities.
