- The High Voltage Subsystem validation engineer will be responsible for development and validation of Electrified Powertrain High Voltage Safety features across the vehicle platforms.
- Develop and optimize subsystem level design validation plan (DVP)
- Perform design validation (DV) on HV features and strategies on system benches and in vehicles
- Ensure validation activities meets the program timing
- Analyze validation results and actively engaging appropriate team members on issue resolution
- Develop HV system development properties: Subsystem bucks tools procedures
- Prepare the validation report
- Track and Submit validation issues on appropriate tracking tool
- Repeat validation process on multiple SW releases throughout the program
- Support the development of vehicle and supplier component high voltage specification
- Perform lesson learned and optimize existing process tools safety feature and strategy.
- Problem solving at vehicle system component hardware software and tool level.
- Perform and train first run/ triage/ garage and plant on HV safety check out.
- Support compliance testing activities.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in electrical Applied Physics Systems or Computer Engineering or related Engineering field from an ABET accredited or ABET equivalent university.
- Knowledge in product engineering design and development with emphasis on systems and product development.
- Understand realtime systems hardware and software.
- Understand regulatory requirements industry standards and recommended practices.
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Coordinate activities with cross functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters degree as accredited by ABET or ABET equivalent other graduate level technical degrees in the specific area of relevant specialty expertise.
- School projects pertaining to electrified vehicles.
- Great knowledge of electrification technology functionality and features on the system level.
- A selfstarter.
- High voltage safety experience with handson work on high voltage systems/components.
- Experience with HV safety features including isolation interlock loop equipotential bonding.
- Knowledge on Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) requirements.
- Knowledge on FCA assembly plant operations and overall development proces.
- High voltage training and experience is desirable.
- SW INCA CANalyzer Canoe MS project Visio.
