Position Description:
We are seeking a Maritime & Logistics Subject Matter Expert (SME) with deep expertise in endtoend logistics operations. This role will be instrumental in guiding our IT team in understanding business requirements and ensuring the successful development of a shipping and logistics product.
The SME will work closely with stakeholders to analyze document and optimize logistics processes from cargo booking to final delivery. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business operations and technology helping develop solutions that enhance efficiency compliance and customer satisfaction.
Providing deep domain expertise in maritime and logistics operations including freight forwarding vessel operations container management and intermodal transport.
Collaborating with IT teams product managers and business stakeholders to define and document functional and nonfunctional requirements for logistics solutions.
Analyzing existing workflows and identifying opportunities for process optimization and digital transformation.
Assisting in the design and validation of system features that align with industry best practices compliance and regulatory requirements.
Reviewing and refining IT solutions to ensure they meet realworld business needs in the shipping and logistics industry.
Supporting user acceptance testing (UAT) and facilitating training sessions for internal teams.
Staying updated with industry trends regulations and emerging technologies to ensure the solution remains competitive and compliant.
Acting as a key advisor in requirement gathering business process mapping and stakeholder communication.
Ensuring smooth integration of logistics management systems port community systems and ERP solutions within the shipping ecosystem.
The ideal candidate should possess:
The ability to translate business needs into IT requirements ensuring alignment with operational and compliance needs.
Handson experience with logistics systems digital platforms and industryspecific solutions.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work effectively with crossfunctional teams.
Optional Knowledge of EDI API integrations and Agile methodologies for IT development.
