Since 1971 the HamptonNewport News Community Services Board has provided a comprehensive continuum of highquality essential and communitybased services to citizens of the Peninsula who are affected by mental illness developmental disabilities and substance use disorders.
As the Recovery and Collection Supervisor at HamptonNewport News Community Services Board you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the timely collection of CSB receivables. Your expertise in resolving billing discrepancies and proactive followup on outstanding accounts receivable will be key to maintaining a healthy financial operation. In addition you will be able to analyze data and propose accounts for writeoffs when necessary demonstrating your strategic decisionmaking skills.
By addressing collection issues and identifying trends in the noncollection of receivables you will contribute to the financial health of our organization. Your ability to provide insightful reports on these matters will support informed decisionmaking and continuous improvement within our collections processes.
To excel as a Supervisor in Recovery and Collections at HamptonNewport News Community Services Board strong leadership and analytical skills are essential. A Bachelors degree in a related field coupled with two years of experience in Medical Billing and Collections or five years of relevant experience will provide the foundation needed for success. Previous supervisory experience is preferred enabling you to effectively guide and mentor your team. Proficiency in collection software and tools is crucial in monitoring denials analyzing trends in noncollection of receivables and developing insightful reports. Additionally exceptional problemsolving abilities will be necessary for resolving billing discrepancies and performing proactive followups on outstanding accounts receivable.
Your capacity to communicate clearly and work collaboratively will foster a positive team environment ensuring that all operational goals are achieved efficiently while upholding the organizations core values of integrity and excellence.
