Job Description
Freight Forwarding Sales Executive
- Location: Fairfax VA
- Work Model: Onsite; 5 Days a Week
- Employment Type: FullTime Direct Hire
- US Citizenship or US Permanent Resident Status Required
Summary
Our client is seeking a Freight Forwarding Sales Executive to join their team! The ideal candidate will lead efforts to develop new commercial business within the U.S. This role requires a proactive resultsdriven individual with a strong ability to identify new clients and sell logistics solutions. Collaboration with the operations team is essential to ensure seamless service implementation and support growth objectives.
Responsibilities
- Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to secure new clients
- Build and maintain strong client relationships by providing logistics solutions and support
- Develop and execute growth strategies focused on financial gain and revenue targets
- Conduct daily business development meetings with prospective clients
- Collaborate with operations management to align client needs with company objectives
- Follow up with new clients to ensure a smooth onboarding and service implementation
- Perform market research to identify new pipeline opportunities
- Present and demonstrate the value of products and services to potential buyers
Requirements
- 5 years of proven sales success in freight brokerage logistics freight forwarding specialized freight or ground transportation
- Demonstrated ability to exceed sales targets and drive revenue growth
- Highly organized and proactive with strong analytical and problemsolving skills
- Expertise in Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint
- Willingness to travel locally for client visits
- 12 meetings per year requiring overnight travel
Education/Certification Requirements
- A Bachelors degree is required
