Ce poste est syndiqu en tant que poste A1 (coordinateurtrice) dans le cadre du SCFP 4943.

Description du Centre
Situ au cur du campus le Pivik est depuis plus de 45 ans le magasin historique des tudiants et tudiantes de lUniversit dOttawa bien connu de plusieurs gnrations dtudiantes demployes et de professeures de lUniversit.
Il sagit dun magasin bilingue accessible thique et respectueux de lenvironnement dont la mission est de fournir des produits essentiels pour faciliter et amliorer la vie de la population tudiante.
Pour poursuivre le dveloppement de ce magasin le SUO recherche une tudiante passionne qui souhaite mettre ses comptences au service du bientre de la communaut tudiante.

Description du poste
Le poste de coordinatrice ou coordinateur des oprations est un poste polyvalent dont la mission est dassister le ou la responsable des oprations dans la gestion du magasin ; ielle participe aux tches oprationnelles et contribue au dveloppement commercial de lentreprise. Ielle apporte galement son soutien la direction des quipes et aux fonctions de soutien des magasins notamment concernant la communication et le suivi financier.

Responsabilits

Les responsabilits du ou de la coordinateurtrice des oprations du magasin de proximit/gnral Pivik comprennent sans sy limiter les tches suivantes :
  • Assister les responsables des oprations dans lorganisation de lquipe : organisation du temps de travail formation supervision communication avec lquipe etc. ;
  • Garantir la qualit du service client : accueillir aider renseigner toute la clientle avec amabilit mettre en place un suivi des incidents des retours de produits etc. ;
  • Assurer laccessibilit et la propret de lespace de vente ;
  • Aider les responsables des oprations assurer le suivi financier et la classification ;
  • Contribuer la cration de contenu pour la promotion de PIVIK des produits promotionnels et des vnements sur les rseaux sociaux ;
  • Grer les transactions de routine et les corrections sur les caisses enregistreuses et contribuer la mise jour du logiciel de suivi des stocks ;
  • Participer au dveloppement commercial : suivre les tendances de consommation et les pratiques concurrentielles afin de dvelopper loffre de produits et de services ;
  • Contribuer limage de marque et la bonne rputation du magasin ;
  • Veiller lapplication des politiques du SUO en matire de durabilit dquit daccessibilit dinclusion et de bilinguisme dans les activits des magasins ;
  • Effectuer dautres tches connexes.

Qualifications

  • Le bilinguisme est requis dans les deux langues officielles de lUniversit dOttawa le franais et langlais lcrit et loral ;
  • Exprience dans le service la clientle idalement dans la vente au dtail ;
  • Connaissance des systmes informatiques appliqus la gestion des ventes et des stocks ;
  • Capacit effectuer plusieurs tches la fois et respecter les dlais ;
  • Exprience de lutilisation des applications Microsoft (Word Excel Outlook etc. ;
  • La connaissance de lutilisation des rseaux sociaux est un atout ;
  • La connaissance du cadre juridique en matire dhygine de sant et de scurit applicable au commerce de dtail et la manipulation des aliments (idalement avec une formation de manipulateurtrice daliments) est un atout ;
  • Une exprience dans une organisation but non lucratif est un atout.

Centre Description
Located in the heart of the campus the Pivik has been the historic student store of the University of Ottawa for more than 45 years well known by many generations of students employees and professors of the University.
It is a bilingual accessible store ethical and environmentally friendly with a mission to provide essential products to facilitate and improve students lives.
To continue the development of this store the UOSU is looking for a passionate student who wants to put their skills to work for the wellbeing of students.

Job description

The operations coordinator is a multiskilled position whose mission is to assist the Operations Manager in managing the store; they participate in operational tasks and contribute to the companys business development. They also provide support for team leadership and store support functions particularly in terms of communication and financial monitoring.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Operations Coordinator of the Pivik convenience/general store include but are not limited to:
  • Assist the operations managers in the organization of the team: organization of work time training supervision communication with the team etc.;
  • Guarantee the quality of customer service: welcome help inform all customers with kindness set up a followup for incidents product returns etc.;
  • Ensure the accessibility and cleanliness of the sales area;
  • Assist operations managers in ensuring financial followup and classification;
  • Contribute to the creation of content for the promotion of PIVIK promotional products and events in social media;
  • Manage routine transactions and corrections on cash registers and contribute to the update of the inventory tracking software;
  • Participate in business development: monitoring consumer trends and competitive practices in order to develop the product and service offering;
  • Contribute to the brand image and positive image of the store;
  • Ensure the application of the UOSUs policies on sustainability equity accessibility inclusiveness and bilingualism in store operations;
  • Complete other related tasks.

Qualifications

  • Bilingualism is required in both official languages of the University of Ottawa French and English both written and oral;
  • Experience in customer service ideally in retail sales;
  • Knowledge of computer systems applied to sales and inventory management
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize deadlines;
  • Experience using Microsoft applications (Word Excel Outlook etc.;
  • Knowledge in the use of social media is an asset;
  • Knowledge of the hygiene health and safety legal framework applicable to retail and food handling (ideally with food handler training) is an asset;
  • Experience in a nonprofit organization is an asset.
