What You Will Do:

In this role as a member of the Operational Excellence (OpX) Team you will Lead the homeroom for the Industrial Engineering discipline in Pratt & Whitney Operations. This includes overall leadership management of business processes design and resource planning (people capital and expenses) for the discipline. You will be responsible for the target setting process for manufacturing productivity and development of the strategic and tactical of our Industrial Engineering OpX Playbooks. The OpX vision is to be a competitive differentiator executing on an operating standard that is culturally pervasive and institutionalized at all levels of Operations delivering efficiency and unbeatable results every day for our employees customers and shareholders. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Continuing to develop the industrial engineering organization by building effective teams structures and processes.
  • Expert level of understanding of industrial engineering .
  • Providing recruitment development and retention of top talent. Must possess strengths in effectively evaluating team members abilities coaching mentoring and creating department succession plans.
  • Strong ability to effectively communicate with business partners both local remote internally and externally.
  • Fostering open communication with team members to promote positive work environment.
  • Demonstrating business acumen with the ability to lead teams.
  • Support of Module Centers goals through forward deployment of Core IE resources when needed.
  • Driving and implementing business wide industrial engineering strategies.
  • Some travel required

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering Systems Engineering or related field of study with 14 years of prior relevant experience; OR Masters degree with 12 years of experience.
  • Experience leading an organization of 100 people.
  • Experience in financial planning and budgeting as well as experience assessing and managing risk.
  • U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Strong communication collaboration and team building skills; ability to connect with all levels of the organization.
  • Candidates should be selfstarters and able to work with minimal direction.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
  • Understanding of capital acquisition process knowledge or background preferred.
  • Experience with Capacity Planning OEE OLE and other key Industrial Engineering tools.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers as they are essential to the development of our engines.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles commuting to and from the assigned site is the employees personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 176000 USD 352000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including but not limited to individual performance business unit performance and/or the companys performance.
