APU is seeking a Program Manager for the College of Nursing and Health Sciences to work alongside a team of program staff to serve the School of Nursing Division of Graduate Departments. The staff team manages the daytoday program operations while helping the students and faculty across the division. The ideal candidate can perform under general supervision be highly organized and maintain outstanding customer service.
We are looking for an efficient individual who thrives within a team. The valuable ability to prioritize and multitask while maintaining complex project schedules and managing organizational support is essential in this role. The ideal candidate is resourceful organized solutiondriven and sensitive to handling student records following the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). In addition working with students and faculty across the west coast requires a keen ability to navigate various technology applications systems and thirdparty solutions.
The position reports to the Department Chair for the Entry Level Master Program and works closely with other leaders of the graduate division. The position is located at the Monrovia Campus. In total the School of Nursing has nine academic departments including undergraduate masters and doctoral programs that serve over 2300 students across five Southern California locations.
Required Education:
- Masters degree or equivalent education and experience.
Required Experience:
- Four years of experience in a clientbased serviceoriented environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex priorities and systems.
- Worked well with team members across multiple campuses.
- Higher education experience preferred.
Primary Duties/Essential Functions:
The following primary functions include responsibilities in areas of customer service administration and general operations.
Customer Service & Hospitality (Students and Faculty)
- Participate as a member of a team that will monitor and track each student in the program from start to completion.
- Assist faculty with the process of creating course schedules class rosters book orders coordination of academic activities etc.
- Coordinate admissions tracking of applications completeness and communications between the department and potential students.
- Provide students with a smooth clinical placement experience with clear communication timely document collection and ensure students are cleared for clinical sites.
- Support new student orientation preparation planning and .
- Track the clearance of students to participate in clinical/program activities.
- Participate in the evaluation processes with the coordination of surveys exit interviews student completion tracking etc.
- Manage the mask fittesting for Monrovia students.
Program Administration
- Oversee the file management for student files program forms etc.
- Maintain the programs calendar of activities and coordinate faculty student and alumni engagement.
- Coordinate with university services such as catering printing and binding mailroom room resources information and media technology facility and equipment requests etc.
- Create maintain and distribute promotional materials for events bulletin boards etc.
- Besides both clinical and student tracking maintain department databases and report systems for grants accreditations and academic evaluations (e.g. WASC AACN BRN).
- Manage student employees and the assignment of their daily duties and coordinate their schedules for coverage of the department programs to support staff faculty and students. Oversee timely and accurate recordkeeping filing and other clerical duties performed by student workers for the program.
- Create and maintain meeting minutes and correspondence as directed.
- Order program supplies and equipment as needed.
- Operate a variety of software products.
- Provide administrative assistance to the Department Chair.
Recruiting/Admissions/Events
- Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective students and their families providing consistent accurate and timely information about the School of Nursing.
- Monitor process and manage inquiries and applications utilizing a database to document interactions.
- Exercise judgment in making recommendations regarding student applications.
- Manage and support the School of Nursing events such as the Annual Research Symposium Evening of Excellence Pinning and more.
General Operations
- Some program and school activities/assignments may include evening and weekend hours.
- Manage sensitive and confidential file systems in both digital and physical formats.
- Responsible for daily electronic timekeeping as it applies to the scope of this position.
- Regular punctual attendance as required by the supervisor based on department needs.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Compensation
- Grade 10: $25.94 to $29.83 is the hourly compensation for this role and reflects what Azusa Pacific University reasonably expects to pay for this position. Actual compensation may vary based on the qualifications experience and internal equity. In addition to compensation APU offers a competitivebenefits package.
