Job Description

Recruiter/Site Administrator

Summary:

The Recruiter/Site Administrator will play a crucial role in supporting field operations by recruiting screening and onboarding skilled craft workers for construction projects. This role will work onsite directly assisting the Senior Talent Acquisition Partner in sourcing candidates scheduling interviews conducting preemployment screenings and ensuring all administrative aspects of onboarding are completed. Additionally this role will support onsite and offsite drug screenings facilitate orientation sessions assist with benefits coordination and provide administrative support for safety and site leadership teams.

A key part of this role will involve coordinating and assisting with onsite training sessions including safety training equipment certifications and compliance workshops in collaboration with the safety team and project leadership.

Responsibilities:

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition:

  • Source recruit and fill skilled and nonskilled craft positions for active construction projects.
  • Assist with screening candidates for skill level experience and cultural fit within the organization.
  • Proactively build talent pipelines by networking with past applicants trade schools and industry contacts.
  • Open job requisitions as requested by Project Managers Superintendents or site leadership.
  • Conduct initial candidate outreach schedule interviews and follow up with applicants.
  • Track and escalate recruitment challenges (e.g. multiple candidates declining offers due to wages location etc..
  • Maintain accurate candidate records in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Participate in career fairs hiring events and outreach programs to source top craft talent.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local workforce development programs trade schools and industry organizations to enhance recruitment efforts.

Onboarding & Training Support:

  • Facilitate onsite and offsite drug screenings in coordination with safety personnel.
  • Coordinate and assist with onsite orientation and training sessions ensuring all new hires receive safety briefings equipment certifications and compliance training.
  • Assist new hires with benefits enrollment orientation and compliance paperwork.
  • Ensure I9 verification background checks and preemployment requirements are met.
  • Provide onsite support for HR and safety teams ensuring smooth workforce integration.
  • Work with the safety team to order and distribute PPE and ensure safety documentation is completed.
  • Assist in tracking employee attendance certifications and performance assessments.
  • Manage employee transfers terminations and rehires as needed.
  • Respond to inquiries from employees regarding payroll benefits and HR policies.
  • Support onsite training initiatives such as OSHA training equipment operation training fall protection courses and other safety compliance programs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience: Preference for 3 years in craft recruiting construction recruiting or talent acquisition.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience or exposure to recruiting in the construction industrial or skilled trades industry.
  • Communication Skills: Strong ability to engage and build relationships with candidates hiring managers and site personnel.
  • Technology Proficiency: Experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and job boards (Indeed LinkedIn trade job sites etc..
  • Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple hiring needs across job sites.
  • Administrative Skills: Strong MS Office user; Familiarity with HR onboarding processes compliance requirements and employee documentation.
  • Safety & Compliance: Basic understanding of OSHA regulations and safety protocols related to hiring onboarding and training.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with highvolume craft recruiting is preferred.
  • Bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) will receive preference.

Physical Demands & Work Conditions:

  • Work is primarily onsite at construction projects requiring movement between office and field environments.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally (for administrative supply handling PPE distribution etc..
  • Frequent walking standing and working outdoors in varied weather conditions.
  • May require occasional travel to offsite hiring events career fairs or training sessions.
