Join our team at Wasatch Behavioral Health as a full Time Behavior Specialist at our Vantage Point North Center in American Fork Utah and make a real impact on the lives of adolescents in need of short term care. As a key member of our Vantage Point North Program you will have the opportunity to work onsite providing handson support and guidance to mostly teenagers 1217 in crisis. This position offers an exciting chance to hone your skills in behavior analysis and intervention in a dynamic fastpaced environment. With a competitive pay range of $16.25$20.59 per hour you can grow both personally and professionally while being an essential part of our dedicated team.

In this role you will be instrumental in offering personalized support to our clients helping them navigate their daily challenges and reach their goals. Your duties will involve overseeing clients (mostly young men) organizing activities managing crises instructing essential life skills and recording behaviors. By actively participating in team meetings assessing documents observing client behaviors and medication effects and placing a strong emphasis on client safety you will make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.

To excel as a Behavior Technician essential skills include strong communication abilities to effectively interact with clients and team members keen observation skills to assess client behaviors accurately exceptional crisis management skills to handle challenging situations calmly and effective time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently. Additionally proficiency in using tools such as behavior tracking software and knowledge of relevant techniques for teaching living skills are crucial for success in this role. A valid drivers license is also required to fulfill job responsibilities including transporting clients and attending offsite meetings. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. High school diploma or GED; AND
B. One 1 year post high school education in social work psychology or a related field AND
C. One 1 year of general work experience;
OR
D. An equivalent combination of related education and experience from lines B and C. Up to two years of personal experience with recovery or treatment may be substituted for the post high school education or general work experience requirements
