Business Development ManagerUrbanCore Construction Special Projects Division

Richmond VA


At UrbanCore Construction our Special Projects division is where it all began. We take pride in tackling unique highimpact commercial projectswhether its banks boutique fitness centers restaurants or universities. Now were growing and looking for a Business Development Manager who can bring in new opportunities and help expand our reach.

What Youll Do as a Business Development Manager


  • Drive New Business: Identify pursue and secure new commercial construction projects that align with UrbanCores strengths and values.
  • Expand Our Network: Build and maintain strong relationships with developers architects property owners and industry professionals to generate leads and opportunities.
  • Sales & Estimating Collaboration: Work closely with the estimating and operations teams to ensure potential projects align with our capabilities and profitability goals.
  • Market UrbanCores Brand: Represent UrbanCore at networking events industry conferences and community functions to increase our visibility and credibility in the market.
  • Client Relationship Management: Maintain and grow relationships with past and current clients to generate repeat business and referrals.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a business development strategy that aligns with UrbanCores longterm goals.
  • Competitive Analysis: Stay informed on industry trends market conditions and competitor activities to refine our approach to business development.

What You Need to Succeed


  • A background in construction estimating or a related field to understand project scopes and pricing structures.
  • A social butterfly mentalityyou love meeting new people networking and creating connections that lead to opportunities.
  • A strong understanding of sales principles and the ability to close deals.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to selfmotivate and work independently while also collaborating with internal teams.
  • A customerfirst attitude ensuring that clients feel valued and engaged.
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple leads followups and deal pipelines.
