Job Title: Federal Business Development Manager

Overview: The GST Federal Business Development Manager is responsible for driving new business and expanding GSTs business within the federal sector. This role is handson and executionfocused requiring someone who can identify opportunities engage with federal clients and close deals. The ideal candidate has experience selling into the federal government understands the procurement landscape and is highly selfmotivated and proactive. This role is critical to support GSTs growth strategy in the federal market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to target federal agencies and meet assigned revenue and margin goals.
- Identify qualify and pursue new business opportunities within the federal market.
- Build and maintain relationships with key decisionmakers and influencers in federal agencies contractors and partners.
- Manage a portfolio of federal clients dealers distributors and OEM accounts ensuring strong communication and alignment.
- Own the full sales cyclefrom prospecting and proposal development to negotiation and contract closure.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align product and service offerings with customer needs.
- Submit accurate sales forecasts and pipeline reports.
- Stay up to date on federal procurement processes contract vehicles and market trends.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in federal business development account management or sales.
- Strong understanding of federal procurement processes contracts and key agency dynamics.
- Proven ability to generate leads close business and meet/exceed sales targets.
- Excellent communication presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Selfstarter with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Experience working with government contractors OEMs or valueadded resellers (VARs) is a plus.
