As a Distribution Specialist youll support Customer Logistics Distribution projects and related initiatives to improve supply chain systems processes and flows to reduce costs. Youll provide tactical support for business plans and strategies in addition to providing operational and project coordination to ensure the achievement of Distribution objectives. This role is currently focused on driving conformance to standard processes and improved productivity in highvolume CPG distribution centers across a twentysite network in North America. Your customers are KimberlyClark Business units IT KC Professional Customer Logistics thirdparty logistics providers Planning plant personnel Procurement external customers.

In this role you will:

Provides project and process related support to extended teams including Customer Logistics Team members IT personnel from partner third party logistics providers and contractors

Support development and implementation of transactional and operational distribution systems and processes in large CPG distribution centers and plant locations along with associated change management within large diverse teams

Provide development implementation and updating of program strategies to drive new capability and continuous improvement to distribution centers and plants

Serve as key contact and functional expert for mills and thirdpartyoperated Distribution Centers to assess materials handling and system and process problems shortcomings and implementation of corrective action

Develop a scope and depth of knowledge in safety quality and materials handling technical expertise to investigate and drive continuous improvement and innovative solutions

Support cost improvement programs to facilitate the achievement of Customer Logistics cost objectives

Participate in cross functional project teams made up of diverse team members ranging from senior leaders to machine or lift operators

Create new tools or perform ad hoc analysis as needed to support various customer group needs

To succeed in this role you will need the following qualifications:

Bachelors degree in supply chain engineering or related field

Experience with thirdpartyrun distribution center operations

Broad supplychain systems and functional knowledge including supply chain manufacturing operations transportation procurement and customer solutions

Knowledge of or willingness/ability to learn analytical tools such as: SQL Tableau Microsoft Access and SAS

Ability to analyze complex data and identify root causes or areas of opportunity

Strong written and verbal communication skills especially around complex topics

Enthusiasm for new challenges and an ability to take clear ownership of responsibilities

Ability to apply CI/Lean principles towards continuous improvement of a process

Ability to collaborate with and leverage diverse resources to achieve results

Travel expectations up to 50 (Domestic)
